How long do the infantile growth spurts last? What are the particular manifestations? Mar 10 , 2023

There are lots of times when babies experience a growth spurt, including 7-10 days, 2-3 weeks, 4-6 weeks, 3 months, 4 months, 6 months, around 9 months, and so on. It usually lasts 2-3 days, but it can last up to a week.

The growth and development of a baby do not follow a uniform simple linear pattern; there are always some turning points that parents find incredible, and growth spurts are one of them.

When babies drink milk more frequently and in larger quantities, especially breastfed babies, this can be every hour. At the same time, they become more irritable and restless, sleep less continuously than before, breastfeeding is not as focused, and so on. All of which may indicate that your baby is entering a critical period of rapid growth.

When new parents notice irritability in their baby, they may assume that their baby is sick. However, parents should not be overly concerned and should try to meet their baby's needs as much as possible to ensure that they are well fed and rested every day.
