A: Mosquito repellents can be used differently according to the baby’s different age. CDC does not recommend any mosquito repellents for newborns less than 2 months, even pure natural mosquito repellents should not be used. Babies over two months can start using insecticide containing DEET, picaridin or IR3535. Babies under 3 years old are not recommended to use mosquito repellent products containing eucalyptus lemon oil ( OLE ), because there is no research to prove the safety of children using mosquito repellent products containing eucalyptus lemon oil.
