Which temperature of water is suitable for babies? Jul 20 , 2022

Q: Which temperature of water is suitable for babies?

A: The mucous membrane of the babys digestive tract is quite brittle and tender,  which cannot withstand the stimulation of too cold or too hot water. If the water from the refrigerator is fed to the baby in summer, it is prone to discomfort or even spasm; while overheated water is prone to cause scald.

In summer, parents can let babies drink cold boiled water at the same temperature as room temperature. In winter, babies should drink slightly warm boiled water, because too cold water will damage the delicate digestive tract mucosa of the baby, affecting the digestive ability and causing abdominal pain, loss of appetite, and even develop gastritis, so it is appropriate to control the water at about 40 °C in winter.
